Law Camp 2013

Hey Hey First Year Law Campers,

So you have purchased your ticket to camp and we are SUPER pumped to have you on board!

Here are the details:

 

Please meet at Einstein’s Bar (on campus) any time from 1.15pm on Friday March 22nd for departure at 1.45pm.

 

 

Please bring:

  • Sleeping bag
  • Toiletries & Towel
  • Pillow case
  • Clothes (Some that you don’t mind getting dirty)
  • Crazy dress ups for: (There will be prizes for best costume!!)

 

Friday night – THRIFT SHOP PARTY – how well do you thrift?! Come decked in your best “hand me downs” from your local good-will, op-shop or Salvo’s. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! Be creative!

 

Saturday night – SURF, SAND AND SUMMER PARTY – Relive the memories of summer, and prepare to go out with a bang; Pirates, Sailors, Lifeguards, Boardies and Bikini’s, Hawaiian, Cricket, headbands, singlets, hats, thongs, big sunnies…anything related to the beach, surf or summer that you can think of…bring it on!!

Special guest DJ: Sam Whatson!

 

Busses will return to Deakin Burwood at approximately 2pm on Sunday March 24th.

 

Just a quick reminder as to expectations:

The DLSS will not tolerate any illicit drugs being purchased, consumed or supplied on camp. The DLSS will not tolerate any form of illegal or offensive behaviour at camp. The DLSS reserves the right to report such behaviour where detected to the Victoria Police and to the School of Law.  The student or students involved will be asked to leave the camp immediately and at their own expense with no refund of the cost of the camp ticket.  The DLSS would also like to remind students to drink responsibly and reserves the right to refuse alcohol to students who, in the opinion of a committee member, appears to be unduly affected by alcohol.  The right to refuse to serve alcohol to any camp member is within the complete discretion of the DLSS.  Failure to comply with any DLSS directions and camp rules will result in the student being asked to leave camp premises immediately and their own expense.
