Lander & Rogers began in November 1938 with Hartwell George Lander, who commenced practice in Melbourne’s Broken Hill Chambers. The premises were shared with a university friend, Glyde Rogers, who, in 1946 became partner at Lander & Rogers. Lander’s legacy continues to inform the firm’s practice today.
“Lander had a remarkable career, spanning more than 40 years… His energy and enthusiasm were the key driving forces behind the steady and continued growth of the firm.”
Lander & Rogers have advised prominent actors both in domestic and international markets, including Medibank, German-based WITRON Logistik + Informatik GmbH and Singaporean transport company ComfortDelGro Group, via its wholly-owned subsidiary ComfortDelGro Australia.
In addition to advising on high profile cases, Landers invests heavily in its pro bono practice.
“We have invested more than $15M into pro bono and community engagement over the life of the practice and have contributed over 50,000 hours in pro bono legal work to our communities. 89% of our staff have been involved in pro bono work and contributed 45 hours per lawyer per year.”

Lander & Rogers’ Chief Executive Partner, Genevieve Collins, explains: “The LawTech Hub by Lander & Rogers and powered by YBF Ventures reflects new ways of working.
