The Curtin at Ghent summer law program, offered exclusively by Curtin University, will run in July 2018, to expand students’ knowledge of global legal systems and world cultures.
The medieval city of Ghent is Belgium’s best-kept secret and only a few hours away from Europe’s historic destinations. Established in 1817, Ghent University is a highly ranked research-intensive institution with a world-renowned law school, which has produced some outstanding law professionals. Through the program, students will gain practical experience and receive high quality education.
Students can choose to study up to three of the following units offered by Curtin University’s School of Law:
- European Union Law
- International Commercial Law
- World Trade Organisation Law (may be subject to change)
- Special Topics in Law (Law of Armed Conflict)
Curtin and Ghent academics will teach the units intensively over four weeks. The units have been approved by Deakin to be Law LLB electives (Level 3). As part of the program students will also attend numerous educational activities.
