Victorian Women Lawyers are hosting a panel discussion titled ‘Women in Prisons’ which examines why Australian women face incarceration and what they face when in prison.

Panelists include:

  • Debbie Kilroy Oam, Chief Executive Officer of Sisters inside and a member of the Queensland Sentencing Council
  • Jill Prior, Principal Legal Officer of the Law and Advocacy Centre for Women
  • Simone Laurie, Manager of the Maarmak Program

This event is on Thursday 19 October 2017 at DLA Piper, Level 21, 140 Williams Street. Registration and light refreshments at 5:30pm with the panel discussion starting at 6:00pm.

The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members, where all money raised will be donated to Sisters Inside Fund for Children.
