Deakin Law School has recently launched two other exciting postgraduate degrees: Master of Accounting and Law and Master of LegalStudies. Both of these also include an opportunity to gain practical work experience through Deakin’s Venture Law Clinic and Civil and Commercial Law Clinic.
The Master of Accounting and Law is a 2-year degree that will prepare graduates for careers requiring combined accounting and legal skills, including financial services, tax consulting, corporate legal advisory, and risk management portfolios. Completion of the appropriate selection of units grants eligibility for entry as an associate member of CPA Australia, CA program of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) or Professional Accounting Program (PEP). The Master of Legal Studies will commence in Trimester 1, 2017 and offers students the ability to combine legal and specific discipline area knowledge in the areas of human resources, international relations, humanitarian assistance, public health or research. Graduates will have a discipline-focused degree with advanced legal skills, which will improve employability in their chosen area. This is a 2 year degree. You can obtain further information here.
